First Advert of 2013 :)

This is a long over due post but its finally here!
I have some new goodies prepared for CNY, but i figured i'll leave those items to a CNY advert
 when the occasion draws nearer!
Today, allow me to introduce you to....
http://sofrockinggood.com/
SO FROCKING GOOD is an online boutique, born and based in Sunny Singapore. Our aim is simple: Let us Frock you, and make you feel So Frocking Good!
I love them so much! Their shoots are always super fun and very "style-nanda-ish". The bonus is their apparels are really unique and i am pretty certain that you won't be able to find most of their pieces anywhere else.
I was sponsored
1) Crochet Lace Short-Sleeved Romper in both black and white! hehe
(owner is super generous!)
Always love the outcome of the photos for SO FROCKING GOOD!
This was what i wore for my 19th birthday remember?? :)
One look at it and you know that this romper is of super high quality! No loose threads or weird hemlines, only perfect lace and a smooth back zip! Super comfy and perfect for a casual day out, or you can try edgy like how SFG has styled me for their shoot! ^^

And remember this Houndstooth Skater Swing Skirt?
I wore it during my trip to Salon vim.
Its actually sponsored by SFG too!! :)
Without a doubt, Houndstooth is definitely IN! and it looks especially good on skater skirts. Where else better to get it from then SFG? I got mine from them, maybe you should too ^^
Like SGF on facebook for more updates and previews before launches, that way you won't miss out on all the goodies and sulk when its all sold out.

Another sponsor of mine (also my good friends now) is none other then...
A while back we had a special guest for our shoot! Meet Kitty Boy! He was such a joy to have around during the shoot, except for the numerous amount of times he kept farting. LOL.
I was sponsored a few items from that collection that Kitty Boy and i were modeling in. But i'll only post up those pictures for the next advert, specially for CNY kay? :)

For now, allow me to show you some other stuffs i was sponsored before the Season of Fortune Cats collection. Meow!!
Here's from C10!
Barbie Open-Back Dress in blue-pink :)
This dress is Super comfy! I love the open back detail so much and the color is just perfect. I would totally wear this for CNY if i didn't have anything on my back to hide from my family. Oops! hehe
The next item is something im gonna wear for CNY. hehehe
Its the Mandarin peplum top in Gold ^^
Material of this top is really soft and with CNY round the corner, its awesome that i have this top with me! Don't have to worry about the humid weather i'll be in with all the house visitings since i have this top to make it feel alright :)
Check out OOTD's latest collection for more pretty apparels. Stock up for CNY yo! ^^

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT Open House)

Singapore Institute of Technology,
other wise known as SIT, is Singapore's 5th University, had their Open House at *SCAPE last Saturday and I was invited down together with a few other bloggers! I must say, it opened my eyes to the many possibilities for me to further my studies in the near future. Before I begin to document the many things I've learnt from their Open House, allow me to tell you a little bit more about about SIT :)

Unlike many universities in Singapore that focus mostly on corporate industries degrees such as business and law, SIT offers industry-focused degrees in Engineering & Applied Sciences, Health Sciences, Design, Interactive Digital Media, Education and Hospitality. These of which, are not offered anywhere else.

What makes them a little different with an edge over many other institutes out there is their partnership with local polytechnics and reputable overseas universities. This helps to ensure students from SIT would be moulded into highly desired graduates who will be highly beneficial for the economy.

Here's the little booklet that helped me understand SIT and the degrees offered by them better.

One booth that attracted me the most was, without a doubt, set up by the design students from The Glasgow School of Art.
I am a design student myself and all my life, I've always been interested in art and design. Going to school to learn more about it has made me appreciate it even more.
Of course, there are some points in my life when I don't really know how to continue studying what I love best because there aren't many options for Art and Design in Singapore. However, going to the SIT Open House changed my perception! :)

SIT partners with Glasgow School of Arts (GSA) in providing degree programmes for students interested in it. So basically, you will be well equipped with knowledge that you need from lecturers flown down specially from UK, where GSA home campus is actually located at.
GSA offers 2 degree programmes at the moment - Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Communication Design and Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Interior Design.

Here are some of the works done by their students, made into post cards for everyone to take home. Each card was done based on different concepts!
Communication Design indeed.

To top it all off, Glasgow School of Arts in Singapore is held in my school itself - Temasek Polytechnic! No wonder I've been seeing all the friendly lecturers that I've never met before around in school! One of them was at the SIT open house too! He told me that I could pop by some day and check out what they have. Really approachable and friendly :)
DigiPen Institute of Technology was also there at SIT's open house showcasing some spectacular works done by their students and graduates! So all you out there looking out for ways to improve your portfolio with a degree in Computer Science, Game Design, and Digital Art and Animation, heads up!
Some breathtaking designs on display!
If you're looking for something else other than Design, SIT do offer other degree programmes too! Just to name a few, Engineering and Applied Science, Health Sciences, Interactive Digital Media and much much much more! All of which are in partnerships with recognized and reputable international universities.

For example, you can further your studies as a nurse in SIT's Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Nursing Practice degree programme that is in collaboration with The University of Manchester.
Check it out! Those college sweatshirts you see in movies! Things are getting real here.
Perhaps you're looking into furthering your studies in Engineering, well, SIT offers several programmes in Engineering in partnership with Newcastle University.
Check out their booth!
Not sold yet? Maybe the next point might do the trick.
All SIT students get the chance to travel abroad to the home campuses of their respective overseas universities for a 3-12 week attachment. They get to experience a different culture and interact with overseas students!

How cool is that?!?! Once you are a student from SIT, a spot in an overseas university is always reserved for you. Studying abroad - dreams do come true :)

And if you're thinking twice due to some financial problems, DO NOT HIDE!
From my perspective, you should never let money be an issue to pursuing your passion or education!!!

SIT has several financial aids and subsidiaries for you to seek help from :)
MOE helps to subsidise your tuition fees which makes your education at SIT affordable. And they also have flexible payment systems which allow students to use their CPF education scheme to pay for their school fees!

Finding out what SIT is about and chatting with some of the lecturers and students have broaden my horizons and given me more options and motivate me into pursuing my studies and hopefully one day graduate with a bachelor degree in design too :)

Quote from her "... theres no rush for anything, always enjoy being young and explore while you can..." and "...SIT has definitely opened my eyes to how the world of Design is really like..." She is the designer for this poster on display.

Anyhows, we've enjoyed our time at SIT's open house and you should check them out!
It's really something you shouldn't miss out on. Give yourself a chance :)
From left to right: Boy Thunder, Szes, Tyler, Me and Jeremy
And finally a photo with Szes!
The first ever blogshop model that I was in awe with when I was 15. Haha

I shall end this post with a short message of why you should choose SIT anyway!
Sit back and relax ;)

The admissions period for SIT’s programmes will open on 1 Feb 2013. Applications can be made online via SIT Application Portal
