One Week Of School Has Passed!!!! (heli, school, vaunt, fai)

Before I start rambling in this new post, as promise,
some pics of my friends, Fai, and I at Helipad's Gangnam Sunday taken by

 Le gone Laraine is gone...
But anyways check her youtube covers outttt!!!
Her voice is awesome.

Le Fai and I.... So cutie!!!
I love it when he's dressed like that.
NO PARTY ROCK TEES
(and my drunk friends at the back. LOL)

See clean party. hehehe

 Fai, maybe gonna be Catholic...

Thats it folks!!! hehehe

Alrighty, back to the topic!

Time flies and I managed to survive the first week of school.
And it wasn't too bad after all, just a couple of assignments.
And I should preserve all that happiness and embrace myself for the worst to come.

Im referring to all that late nights in school and the need to scream at someone.
Yes, I have stayed in school till 11:40pm before, you think that isn't bad?
What if i told you I was in school since 9am that very same day?

Life of a designer is very hard indeed.
And its harder when you're trying to be one.

Right now while the rest of TP is soaking up the sun and partying like they never would again,
my classmates and I are stucked in school for one more month.
And let me tell you this, its one more month of drawing lines freehand and shitz.
We're taking a module called Media Techniques and Presentation.
An architectural kinda subject and im in fashion... zzz....
Apparently it will help us in future for designing shop floors and stuffs.

Well... I have other plans already.
Still related to Fashion though.

And heres what i wore for the second day of school!!!!
sighhhh i didn't even have time to take an OOTD pic for the other days.
Maybe i shall take an OOTD pic everyday and upload it here at the end of the week.

Anyways, heres the main topic for this post....
Its gonna be about....

Fai <3 <3 <3

So y'all have been asking how we met and how he asked me to be his and all...
Well i figured it would be a nice thing to blog about :)

Taking you back to when I look like this...
.
.
.
.
all step scene and shitz.

and he looked like this...
.
.
.

And if you remember,
or if you were at the Swap 'N' Shop Chinatown Flea a year and two months ago,
thats was the very day we met.
(i remember it was the first ever Pink Dot day)

He was running the event and I was just another girl setting up a booth with my friends.
Being a typical kiasu Singaporean,
we were the first few people at the flea and we had everything set up before the other vendors even got there. hehehe

(yup, we did it without double checking our actual table number)

And heres how it goes...

Some random guy in berms, a black singlet, chucks and ray bans came up to me angrily and asked if I was Eunice Annabel.

Apparently, we had set everything up at the wrong table.
Apparently, it belonged to the group of girls sitting by the side of the road with the luggages.
Apparently, due to our mistake, he had to walk up and down the stretch of road frantically just to find the table for them.

Apparently, that guy was Fai.

HAHAHA.

My friends and I at the flea

Nope, I didn't take a second look at him throughout the event.
(okay lah, i did.... a little...)

But he has confessed that he did check me out. WHAHAHA
And he did what a guy would do, get some knowledge about me.
No he didn't ask for my number.
I never ever ever ever give my number to some random guy.
But being the organizer of the flea, he had my e-mail address.
He took it secretively (that sneaky boy) and added me on Facebook.
Played it slow and steady.

And when he did, I DIDN'T CARE.
hahahaha
Im pretty hard to get eh.
But he did post a mixtape on my wall and it had some regards to some party in the next few days.
The only thing is, I didn't know that he was the same guy I saw at the flea!!!
poor Fai.

But I did attend the party in the end anyway and I must say it was the first ever party that i went to.
and no, I didn't go because of him. I didn't even know it was him what! hahaha

Over the next few days,
sobering up and shitz from my first "clubbing" experience, the DJ of the party talked to me.
(okay, a little confession here - I thought he was cute lah, in the suit and shitz)

cute what... except a little fatter here. HAHAHA

And then I realized he was guy that spoke to me angrily the other day.
deng deng deng.
Being embarrassed about whatever happened and trying to prove to him that Im not a bimbo,
I apologized and we talked :)

Fai was crude and loud and everything I didn't want in a boyfriend initially.
But I saw the sincerity in him and the fact that he was very intelligent and hardworking attracted me.

Personal and really dramatic issues happened in between and we stopped talking for about 5 months.
We never thought that we would ever see each other ever again.

We did see each other here and there.. about like 3 parties, but never got the chance to speak to each other.

Well, tables decided to make a turn when I was asked to join Vaunt 6 :)

As soon as the doors of the lift that would take me up to the office opened, there stood the guy I once had a thing going on with.
Goddamn.
It felt so awkward and Im pretty sure my face flustered in half a second.

We were standing infront of each other face to face.
Wanna know what he's reaction was?

thats it.
Oh and he didn't said "that is unbelievable"
He shouted "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?!?"
hahahaha

I just walked into the lift smiling :)
(i sound like a sneaky bitch now)

And he stopped me and asked if i was going for the casting, we exchanged a few words without even looking at each other straight in the eye.

I got through and was in the running for the title of the winner of Vaunt 6.
Throughout the whole series of events, we got closer and put everything negative that happened in the past.

(some unseen photos of the competition anyway)
my fringe was disgustingly short then. hahaha

 final get together :(

 My beautiful Nessa <3 <3 <3

 siannn.... was much thinner then...

I miss my hair colour!!!!! ;.(

I didn't only take home $2000 with me that night, I took home a loving and understanding guy.

Things got better and everyone could tell we were happier and declared that we were dating.
God I hate that term.

Vaunt got us closer and Fai became a much better person too.
He went from being a boy to a loving and understanding man <3
(of course he's gotta be one if he's gonna be with an annoying and demanding princess like mua!!! hehehe..)

Hold on we aren't together yet uh!!!

On the night of Christmas Eve, Fai and I were just taking a walk around town like we always would.
(we love to just walk and explore new stuffs)

We watched the parade and when everyone headed home at the strike of twelve, he pulled me closer and asked me the question we had both been anticipating for 6 months of so much drama, anger, excitement, pain, hope and love. (so cliche i know!! but im proud of it)

So we got together on Christmas <3

Fai is an awesome guy.
He is my best friend and believe me when i say, i won't be the same without him in my life.
I've grown to be more mature and have really learnt to choose whats right and wrong, and face the consequences for any wrong doings.
I have learnt more about life through him and Im sure he has learnt a lot through me too.
I love him.

xoxo
(p.s. He loves his PS3 more then me now)

Back to School!!!

Oh damn,
just 2 days ago I was dancing in Helipad going crazy and not to mention being embarrassed by it and today, I was in school....

Where has all my time goneee?!?!

Anyway I hope you guys like my new blog banner, I like it a lot.
It was taken during www.shopdiygalore.com shoot, a few hours before I was tossing Tequila shots down my throat. Sored and Burnt I tell you.

Before i go on with that, some other nice nice pictures taken!

do check out their new launch soon!!!! probably on Thurs or Fri <3
link to ShopDIYGalore.com

ooooooo not only did i hurt my throat, i went home with a couple of bruises and a scrapped elbow.
(and to make things clear, i am not a hardcore clubber you think i am, i only visit my crazy side about once every 2 months, or more if i feel the need to)

In fact, most of the time i just sit and wait for Fai to get his set done with.
(what a good gf I am right.)

In case y'all don't already know, Fai is my boyfriend and he DJs part time, other time, he's decked in his super cute GushCloud tee working as a programmer. HAHA. Im just kidding. But he works with GushCloud.
If you don't already know what that is, please go find out or simply click on the link below :)
Pictures of that night aren't out yet, but when it is, i'll post some up! so watch this space y'all.

so far I only got this......
me with the definite winner for Ms Beautiful Eyes New Face 2012, Audrey.
(my dress is sponsored by Ashincans<3 )

Anyway the point is, I haven't gone clubbing for really long, neither has Fai played for really long.
But fear not, he's coming back with a smashing new Mixtape and probably an awesome shoot soon. With me to help. hehehehe
Make up tutorial for guys anyone?

I know my school has already began, and i should put my double life to sleep till the hols but hold up!!!! Im pretty sure you guys (I'm talking to people 18 and above only ah!) have heard some rumors about ZoukOut2012 lineup huh?
Something about.... sounds from Skrillex or Alesso? (especially Alesso la)

Lets just get S.O.F a.k.a Fai to bring that hype here a little.

So please do plug in your speakers or ear pieces and check his recent mixtape out now!
I think it may just be best I've heard from him.
(p.s. My favorite part is song playing at 46:26)

(i don't like the girl.... meh... but sexual appeal always helps in advertising)

click this link to check it out! -----> S.O.F Come Back Mixtape

<3 <3 <3

Anyway school wasn't so bad after all.
Apart from forgetting my water bottle and having to expect a lot of writings and stupid citations to do, there are some positive sides of this module as well.

Like........
Coming up with a proper CV, resume and design philosophy (i don't no idea what that is yet).
Oh yeah and thanks for this module, I'm gonna have a proper portfolio.
Finally.

Oh and if you follow me on Instagram,
you would probably be wondering what my latest post was about.
Well, we had some class activity today...
Just to help us get a feel of what a design convention was like.
You know.... socializing, getting contacts and stuff ;)
And everyone was given a role by random and luck hit me real hard by making me take on the role as a pretend "owner of a famous blogshop"...
So it wasn't that hard for me to explain my roles and shit...
(I am not a blogshop owner. But I kinda know the ins and outs of owning one)

To add on to all that happiness, I didn't have afternoon class today!
(thank God my lecturer is Muslim and needed another day off for visiting)
So the agony of spending a hell lot of money on tools and drawing floor plans will only start tomorrow.
omg hell....

My point is, I got home early today!!!
School time was only freaking 2 hours.
So I decided to do a Skincare/product tutorial or video if that fits better into the concept.
And this time, i swear, i no slang. hahaha

So click this link to view it ---> SkinCare/Product Video

oh and i missed out two VERY VERY important product from the video!!!
Thats my Nivea Whitening Body Lotion/Moisturiser!!
looks like this...

and my Body Shop Tea Tree Oil...
(awesome remedy for annoying pimples, works like magic)

I was pretty obnoxious in the video to be honest. hehe
I just didn't wanna exceed 10mins and have a problem uploading the video later on. Thats why.
Don't hate on me? :(
I really apologize.
.
.
.
.
.
Anyways, I am really really scared for tmr....
(shall not tell you why though. hehehe will talk about it soon <3)

My Everyday Makeup Tutorial (yes i know you have been waiting for this)

Thinking about it,
it has taken me about almost a year to finally decide to get a make up tutorial done.

Not that I don't wish to do one,
its just that I have so many other commitments to get done before I can sit and record myself painting my face.

It wasn't as tough as I thought it would be anyway.
In fact, I think I would do a lot more tutorials in future.
I suppose video editing has now become one of my hobbies :)

So enough chit chat,
here's my first ever tutorial completed with some amateur video editing skills using iMovie.

Hope you guys like it! <3
(p.s. Don't judge my bare face, I will not entertain any rude or negative remarks on my form spring)

Oh and I apologize, I'm new to blogging so I have problems uploading my video here.
Kindly click on the link below to get to the tutorial.

Super Atas Flea

As you all know, with the kind of society that we are living in,
shopping online has now become a huge phenomenon.
Its always much easier to just sit behind your computer screen, still having your bed face on and purchase new and awesome stuffs!

You might even have the thought of joining the whole bloggosphere by starting up your own label.
But wait.
How do you make a name for yourself merely by updating a blog?
Im pretty sure you gotta grab the attention from other existing blogshops first and to do so is to join them in their so called "gatherings".

What do I mean by "gatherings"?
Im referring to Flea Markets.

And here's your chance.
The Candle Boutique will be organizing a flea event specially for you!
The Super Atas Flea event will be held at 30A Bali Lane, The Candle Boutique.
Im pretty sure all you blogshop people know where that is ;)

(Nearest MRT station would be Bugis Station.
Just walk pass Raffles Medical Center towards Haji Lane)

It will be held over two days,
from 18th Aug 2012 (Saturday) to 19th Aug 2012 (Sunday), from 11.30am to 9pm.
(psssssssttt.... I will be there on Sunday at 6pm)

Racks of 2 different sizes will be provided as well.
You can rent either the small rack that is able to fit 40 apparels or the big rack that fits 80 apparels.
They are for rent at $100 and $150 accordingly for both days.

Other miscellaneous items such as chairs, toilets, changing rooms and air-conditioners are also provided.

It is advisable to bring your own hangers though they do provide some for the early birds.

To add on to the awesome deal,
The Candle Boutique which is also a known studio used by many blogshops will be giving away 3 sessions of 3 hours worth of studio time that initially costs $75.
But its now free :)

And hear this people...
You will also be able to mend those fizzy hair of yours as you will be receiving a $10 voucher for a hair saloon called Director Cut.

Always keep in mind that you are in Singapore and things get sold out pretty quickly.
So do ring Candle Boutique at 6296 8377 or 9229 8299 for a reservation now!!!!

What I Do Best.

Well, as you all know, I have been in the blogshop modeling industry for 2 years now and perhaps its time to share with everyone a little tip or two about it.

Article in Straits Times Urban about Blogshop Modeling.
I started just after my O'levels in secondary 4 after being told by a friend of mine to try it out. She sent my profile application in to one of the blogshops available but of course it didn't turn out the way we wanted it to. With much disappointment, I decided to sent in an application myself to another blogshop who just so happened to be looking for a model for their new site. (so never give up!!!!)

Till date, I have been modeling for them and the site is still known as Ashincans.livejournal.com

Like every other girl who have tried it out, my first ever shoot was nerve-wrecking. Im pretty sure that my poses were stiff and lack much creativity.
To add on to the worried mind of mine then, I wasn't sure of how much make-up to apply for the shoot.

Over the next few days, the collection in which I modeled for was launched and I looked so terrible in the pictures.
I guess one thing I am good at is probably changing fast which I suppose is one of the important criteria a blogshop owner looks out for in their models.
(nobody wants to pay more for the studio booking fees just because their models change slowly)
Therefore, I was called back and given another chance. hahaha.

This time round, I had an understanding that more make-up is needed to be applied for a studio shoot due to the harsh lighting used.

I have learnt that eyeliner, lipstick and blusher are the 3 most important tools you need in case you're gonna try blogshop modeling as well.

You're gonna need to define your eyes well as one tend to look tired without it in studio shots (unless you're a guy, of course)
Some models would even put on falsies as that helps to give the illusion of a much more flattering and deep-set eyes.

Next up, would be lipstick...
Okay honestly, its not really an essential tool but it helps to exude the particular kinda look for the different blogshops you're gonna be modeling with.

For example, when Im working with Secondskin.sg, I would usually apply a deep red lipstick since I usually get that "sexy" vibe from their range of apparels and styling.
As for more famine brands such as Ellysage.com, I would apply lipstick with a pinker hue that would exude a much more "lady-like" appeal.

Most of the times, it also depends on your natural skin tone.
Im naturally tan so I would often apply some color on my lips and stay away from nude lippies.
It makes me look sick and dying.

Speaking of lippy, I bought some new ones from NYX!!!!!
Please don't ask me what NYX is, I just know that its an online cosmetics brand that offers really cute make-up at an affordable price.

From left to right :
A tangerine hue in LSS 507, A sweet pink everyday hue called CHIC in LSS 563A, and of course a deep seducing red hue called ELECTRA in LSS 513.

Anyways, the final essential cosmetic you'll need for a studio shoot is a blusher.
This is really important as it makes your skin "glow".
Who wants to look like a zombie in their shots right?
So please do adopt a blusher.
No blusher was applied to my face during my first shoot and ta-da!! A zombie appears.

I am also aware that many girls tend to apply bronzer which helps to contour and define their face. Its good.
But i try to stay away from it because less make-up some times is always better.

You could opt for a much more "honey-pink" hue for your blusher to get that natural sun-kissed glow.

Something like this.... ....
over this.... ....
Just to make things clear,
that is not ALL of the make-up you need and neither is it just the ones i put on myself either.
There's so much more to it.
Just to name a few, you still need foundation, translucent loose powder, eyebrow pencils, pencil eyeliners, mascara, highlighters, lip gloss, eye shadow and so on.... ....
Keeps your expectations low for now, I will not be covering those items in this post but probably in the next with a special twist added to it ;)

Now... everybody can look gorgeous and stunning with those cosmetics on.
But always remember, make-up only can only do so much
.
What blogshop owners look out for is also your ability to be natural and confident in front of the camera.
Which is only possible if you are able to deliver your poses well, sell the apparels and project a good image in the photographs.
So practice, practice, practice!!!

Study the kinda image the particular blogshop is trying to project. Some prefers poses which are much more "edgy" while others prefers poses that exude a "kawaii" feel. hahaha.
And if you're stucked and unsure of where to start looking, just have a look at some of the current models available and follow ;)
Thats why they're called "models" anyway right?

... ... ...

Lately, Ashincans have been away for abit therefore,
I haven't been modeling for them for some time now.
However, we did a shoot last Saturday and I really really love the apparels from this collection!!!
I took a few home with me.. hehehe
If you haven't checked it out yet, please do so.
You don't wanna miss out on it.

Some of my favorites!!!!

Here are some new loots I got this week... A few pieces from Ashincans as well :)

Pink Floral Bustier Dress from Ashincans, Pink Bag from Far East Plaza, NYX Lippies from Orchard Central, Lashionista Mascara from Maybelline.... The rest are just props. hahaha
from left to right:
Fuchsia Skirt from H&M, Pink bustier dress from Ashincans, Burgundy Cardigan from Abercrombie&Fitch, Bustier top and shimmer zipper shorts both from Ashincans.
New PINK stuffs always makes me happy...
So i even changed the whole look of my iPhone and make my nails look a little more PINK (naturally of course)

Saronara everyone! Im going to work now.
Look out for my next post.
Its gonna be exciting!!!

xoxo
